Hello dear friends!

I JUST barely saw a fox outside!!! Gaaaa! I love the midwest so much. 🙂  Anyways…sorry to be so distracted, haha!  This week rocked.  We got soaked plenty of times without an umbrella, but it totally built our character.  The zone Leaders gave me a preisthood blessing because of some issues I needed help and counsel with and I’m so grateful for their worthiness to do so. 🙂  My companion is being super helpful, and also constructively critizing me.  But it’s very humbling because I want to be better and I know I NEED it! 🙂  (I should’ve listened to you better mom…my faults are the same out here as they were at home…:P)

Last Wednesday, my hands turned purple when we were knocking doors and so we were praying in our heads that SOMEONE would open the door and let us teach. :0)  This is what happened.  The first house:  A lady opened the door and said a 15 second explaination talking a million miles a minute of why she didn’t want to talk to us because she alread knew Jesus, and closed the door. (Very midwestern like)… The second house: What do you want?  Oh.  Come inside and get warm for a second.  I’m already a member of a church, ok?  Now get back outside.  The third house: Dogs jumped all up and down our legs… but they took a Book of Mormon.  Fourth house….we stopped by because it had a Romney sign. “Yeah, I’ll read the Book of Mormon because we’re gonna have a Mormon President.  (We call that “Romney Tracting!”  It works pretty well for potentials…heheh 🙂  Fifth house: “Wow.  That’s funny you just stopped by because I JUST went to Utah last month.  What made you stop by?  Please come in.  Tell me what you have to say.”  It was a MIRACLE!!!! PHEW!  We can’t wait to go back there.  His name is Al J.!  We told him he was an answer to our prayers and he said he’s never had anyone say that before.

Okay, to follow up with the “dust off your feet” lady…we went back there and she said she didn’t like our church.  She said it was darker than the blackest Ghetto church she’s ever been to, and that we’re not welcome to ever come back unless we want to change our religion.  Hahaha….Okay.  Thanks lady!  You just made our job a lot easier by knowing you’re not ready to listen to us. :0P

We love working with the members because they introduce us to the best investigators, instead of us having to find them by tracting. 🙂  This week we had a church tour with 10 people there and 4 were nonmembers.  We watched “Finding Faith in Christ” because 3 of them didn’t have a Christian background.  The spirit was so strong there that I didn’t even want to talk in case I ruined it. 🙂  Also, a family from Brazil had us over and invited 5 non-members over, with 1 potential!!! 🙂  We’re seeing a lot of blessings coming from above!  I know that when you love people and strive for perfect obedience, He’ll give you what you need to finish your job. 🙂

Anways, I love you all so much and I’m soooo grateful for the many letters I’ve recieved!  🙂 It’s surely a trick-or-treat month.  But for me, it’s always treats!!

Smell my feet,

Sister Tobias 🙂
