Hey sweet things!!!
The end of my week was so much better than the begining of this week! It was really hard to hear about Mitt Romney losing! 🙁 But Honestly, Everything is in the Lord’s hands! It’s stressful, but if we’ve done everything we can to be “Bands of Christians” on this land, this land of freedom will be favored! (Read Alma 46:12-17). By the way…I got to vote through an Absentee ballot, thankfully! 🙂
Okay, THEN the week just got better and better! We got a call from our Assistants to the presidents, and they said that I’m staying here in Peoria!! It’s really rare for a sister not to be transfered after being trained and “broken” for 3 transfers…but the Lord wants me here, and I’m sooo grateful! Because this area is really starting to pick up, and I want to see my sweet investigator’s lives change! DOUBLE GOOD NEWS!! We were blessed with getting news that one of the elders area is being closed down, and so we get a constant car and half of their investigators!!!! Eeeeee!!! I’m so happy I DO cry about it! :0)
Here is my favorite story that the Lord has blessed me to witness this week! Ken (the widowed man who reminds me of Mr. Rodgers) came to church yesterday!! He came in a very sharp suit and sat down next to his recently baptised granddaughter and her kids ran up to him and just loved him. His granddaughter and her husband had a lesson with us last week and he was completely changed! He said the thought never even occured to him that there was a pre-earth life or that we could continue living afterwards. He was also so glad that the Mormons aren’t a “Hell-fire and Damnation” religion, but one of Joy and life! :0 His Gdaughter then told us that before we gave him the Book of Mormon, he had no reason to live anymore. He was depressed because the only thing that brought him happiness (His wife) had died. His Gdaughter said he has never told her that He loved her before, and after our lesson, He gave her a hug and said, “I love you!” We have seen a big change in him, and we can’t wait to set a date for him to be baptised! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Cathy K also came to church!! But she is very hessitant about baptism… It was my companion’s birthday, so I basically had a birthday week too! 🙂 A member bought my GF, Milk, and corn free ice cream and a box of brownies! And then we had amazing dinners the whole week! So wahoo! :0) :0) There were many other miracles that happened. 🙂
The picture Descriptions: Sister E is obsessed with Mitt Romney. She has a scrapbook of him and prayed for him “six hours a day!” not even kidding. 🙂
