TCHP-000-AlFox

I knew as soon as I saw her blog hit the internet last week that we had to get Al Fox in The Cultural Hall.

LDSLivingA tremendous story of positive attitude from Al at a time she could have chosen to not be so nice. Listen to how her life was changed by a simple steak dinner AND to find out what she ordered at Cafe Rio that fatefully day she chose to remain positive.

Guys…she’s taken.

Don’t believe me? Listen to the end.

Having a number is a thing! Mine is 4!
My birthday, birth “time”, birth order (with siblings, and every id number I have ever received in licenses to church records are repetitive with 4’s!

    It’s a thing!

Thanks for this. Being married to a convert, I’ve seen almost everything my wife’s gone through living here in Utah. I’ve heard about the rest. I don’t know how she keeps positive, because even in 2013 we Utahns are some close-minded, silly individuals when it comes to people who weren’t born into the church. My own mother told me not to marry her because she was a convert and therefore “wouldn’t be able to provide a strong LDS home for our children”.

And now something for the men, especially return missionaries: You should know better than to try and take advantage of new members who might not know about everything to do with the law of chastity and look up to people who were missionaries as people who know what’s right and wrong. I won’t go into any details, but again I’m still blown away by how my wife even stayed in the church long enough for us to meet and marry (and beyond) considering what we Utah “lifers” put new members through.

Thanks again, Al, for putting yourself out there. By your example and story we can all look inside ourselves and grow to be more accepting of others as children of God.
