Sisters Tobias and England

Howdy friends!

So, this letter this time will probably be super short because I sat down to write to you all, and a gentleman beside me asked me a thousand questions about the church!! I talked to him for 45 mins. and ended with a prayer! Haha He’s like, “I’ve tried every single other Christian religion except for Mormon, and I’m so ready to try it.”  He loves the Book of Mormon already because He knows that the Bible was translated about 9 times from language to language.  He’s like, “The bible says that God is a Jealous God.  Hello!  God isn’t Jealous.  The Greek translation is Zealous.  It means He wants us to follow Him and be like him!! It totally makes sense that God would save a set of scriptures that hasn’t been touched for so long.”  I LEARNED SO MUCH from him through the spirit!  It’s one of those moments where you always dream of as a missionary!! It just happened to be during all of my computer time…So I’m sorry if this is short! But we have a lesson with him on Thursday.  Yaya!

We met at a book club with about 15 old ladies who drilled us with questions! They had read a book called, “The Elders” and wanted a non-biased opinion about missionary work.  So they asked a sister who is “To-bias”ed…ha! 😉 JK!  AWESOME experience.  Met with Fern a couple of times this week.  She loves the Book of Mormon and meeting with us.

One quick joke…What do you call it when you have a church meeting at a butcher shop??

STEAK (STAKE) CONFERENCE!!! Teehee 😉  We spent like 10 minutes on that so we hope you like it. 😉

Three of our investigators came to Stake conference this week.  I was so embarrassed though because our Mission President spoke at the adult session and told a story about me getting the cops called on me after a door approach.  Everyone laughed!  President Okiishi of the Winter Quarters Temple came up to me afterwards and said, “OH YOU’RE Sister Tobias?!  I like Bold Missionaries!” That’ll be a story I’ll have to share in person… 😉

Had another Zone Meeting and an exchange in Webster City.  The power was so strong.  We talked about church tours and how they are so powerful because no other church was blessed with the power of the Priesthood to be dedicated as a sanctuary from the world. The Spirit is what gets people to stay at church! We love it! 🙂 🙂 I prayed in Spanish again! So fun.

We were able to see Richard M. baptized and that was AMAZING!!! He is from Zimbabwe and had to be baptized four times because his suit kept floating up!!  He bore his testimony afterwards and said, “God kept asking me, “Are you sure you want to do this?!’ and I said “YES I AM!!!!!!”
I love you all so much. This church is so true!
Loves,
Sister Tobias 🙂

You are an inspiration to all who love The Lord!!! I hope you’ve saved your letters because I think you ought to use them as the foundation for a book you will publish when you return home. It could help and motivate other young women in amazing ways!!!
You are in my prayers. Love you LOTS!
