Anita Coyle is a mother of 4, physical therapist and triathlete.
Anita’s life changed suddenly when her healthy, endurance athlete husband died on January 3, 2019. And one week after his funeral she was diagnosed with a less common form of thyroid cancer.
She has channeled her grief into training for, then qualifying for and competing in the Xterra Off Road Triathlon World Championships. She was awarded with the Dave De Santis Xterra Warrior Award for 2019.
She documents her grief journey and newly designated single parent status on Instagram at @RacingFromTheAshes. And has a podcast exploring grief topics with another young widow called “Widow We Do Now?”
