Hey Cutie Cupids!

This week was super eventful..as ALWAYS!!  But the best part of it was going to transfer meeting!  There were 26 new missionaries… WAHOO!!  And 7 sisters!! THERE will be 2 sets of missionaries in every ward.  Total of 180 missionaries going from 2012 to 280 in 2013.  Everyone just kept talking about how fun it is, and how powerful of feeling it is to be out here at such a crucial time! 🙂  The picture has all of the sisters in our misison!

And I found an awesome quote about sister missionaries I wanted to share from President Gordon B. Hinckley: “Many Young Women are serving missions, not because they aren’t married, but because they have the desire to serve.  Therefore they are being called to the work.  The reason there are so many going is because in the next generation, Heavently Father will be sending His priesthood Army to the earth and He wants to send them to Mothers who have been properly trained and taught in the Gospel and what better training can you have than of serving a full-time mission?”  LOVE IT! 🙂 AMEN AND AMEN! 🙂

My new companion’s name is Sister King.  She’s 21 (almost 22) and has lived in Arkansas, California, Tennesse, and most recently moved from West Jordan, UTAH!!!!!  GET THIS!!!!!!!!!
About Halloween time, I got a letter from my friend saying she knows a girl who’s going to your mission…!  So I wrote this mystery sister and told her some advice and that she’s coming to the best mission in the world… 😉  I had no idea who she was or when she’d be here…but I sent it to be fun!  So…we got home from working that day and she started to unpack and she pulled out a letter….IT WAS MY LETTER!!!!  Hahahaha!! Isn’t that the cutest little connection story!? The Lord always works like that with me.  It makes me feel so special!

Speaking of connections…I was at church yesterday greeting some visitors and I asked them where they were from.  They said, “Snowflake, Arizona.”  So of course I flip out and tell them that my double great grandpa founded that city and that I have a million relatives over there.  They knew Uncle Ted and Aunt Ellie!!!!  I wrote them a note so that they could give it to them.  I hope they do. 🙂  Their names were the Kriters. 🙂

Back to training…It’s so busy!  I love it though! 🙂  She is asking so many questions and is very talkative!  She keeps feeling overwhelmed by the ward member’s kindness.  I remember feeling like that.  In fact, I still do! 😉  But we’re getting along alright!  Then we had a lunch at Texas Roadhouse with a less-active family that is coming back to church after 29 years!  IT is SO FUN to re-activate.  We also had a lesson with a part member family and the wife (who is the only member in her family) said, “No other missionary has given a lesson like that to him! Hopefully that will soften him up a little.” 🙂  All you have to do is bring the spirit in, and talk about their interest!  Then share a scripture, leave them a commitment from heaven and BOOM!!! Their lives will change.  So all you do is be obedient, pure, and open your mouth!  We’re like a ventriloquist’s puppet, huh?! 🙂

We ALSO HAD TWO LESSON’S IN THE BISHOP’S HOUSE!!! THEY WENT EXTREMELY WELL!  They accepted a baptismal invite, now we just got to get them to church.

Oh!  We also got to help serve at a stake Jazz Dinner Valentines Dance!! Neat night!  It was a trick not to dance though!! 😛

Have a lovely Valentine’s Day, okay?? 🙂

Remember the lonely people out there…Try to visit them or give them a heart attack of love and it’ll make your valentine’s day better. 🙂

LOVE YOU MORE THAN CUPID’S ARROW!!!
SISTER STEPHIE TOBIAS 🙂 🙂 🙂
