It’s 1994. Mount Vista High’s student body president Tim Timmerman has aspirations of attending Yale and becoming a famous politician. Tim realizes the quickest pathway to Washington is befriending Sydney and rubbing shoulders with her father, Senator Anderson. Nothing can stop Tim from reaching the top…except himself.

Award-winning Writer/Director Cameron Sawyer is a native of Orem, Utah, located near Sundance Ski Resort. He earned a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Brigham Young University and an MFA in Film Directing from Southern California’s Chapman University, one of the nation’s top film schools. Cameron’s 2010 short film, “She’s a Fox,” starring then unknown Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, The Edge of 17), screened at festivals worldwide, winning numerous awards and honors. Tim Timmerman, Hope of America is loosely based on Cameron’s experience as quite possibly the worst high school student body president in history.
